Farewell to FlyAcorn
FlyAcorn officially closed on August 2nd, 2020. After that date, all flights were grounded for good. Our final service, using the Acornbus 100, departed on Sunday at 15:00 UTC from Clearwater Airport, Oregon.
Four years earlier, when I started this group, I was just a ten years old with a love for planes and Roblox, and absolutely no idea how to run a virtual airline. I never could have imagined what FlyAcorn would become or the amazing people I'd meet along the way.
We grew to over 900 members, which still blows my mind. This wasn't just me, it was a team effort from day one. Our staff, our passengers, and everyone who supported us over the years made it possible. Without you, FlyAcorn simply wouldn't have existed.
Some people wondered why I closed such a big, active airline. The truth was, four years was a long time. People became busier, priorities shifted, and I knew when it was time to close a chapter.
I made so many great memories on this journey, and I hope you did too. The flights, the laughs, the friendships, they'll always stay with me.
I especially wanted to thank:

- Swe03HD – For helping with management in 2016 and 2017 and getting us off the ground.

- Giglus – For your help in 2017 and 2018.
- AviaWill – A good friend who owned Beta Fleet.
- CallMeGabs – Funny and great friend who ran RARL and VERO.
- Kwok6140 – The most dedicated developers we ever had.
- Nick_Aviafox – A CC Department Administrator who trained over 50 staff in total.
- voidshardz – For excellent staff and alliance management during 2019 and 2020.
- MrStebastien – For supplying us with so many great planes through AeroFactor.
And to everyone else, thank you. Truly. FlyAcorn became something bigger than I ever dreamed, and that was because of all of you.
Ro-Aviation has continued to grow and change, and I hope you all kept following your passion, wherever it took you.
